XERXES

Railgun of the Future

outdoor radio communication with the CUB device.

The Next Generation in Weaponry

 Xerxes is a railgun.
Railguns shoot a projectile at extreme speeds with electricity.
There is no combustion or smoke when firing a railgun.

What Sets Xerxes Apart

The US Navy’s railgun program designed and built a large-scale mountable electromagnetic (EM) weapon.  When looking at payload weight for transporting something like this, and versatility in its use, a smaller version would be much more effective.  Xerxes can be transported in bulk, or an average soldier could even carry one on their back.  We believe that we can effectively shrink down the railgun to the size of a portable rifle.

Thus far, railgun enthusiasts as well as countries throughout the world are attempting to create EM weapons, but have either had limited success, bulky designs, or both.  EM-based weapons have not been needed until now.  With the formation of the US Space Force, and the anticipated expansion of space exploration, weapons that will work in the vacuum of space are now needed.  Additionally, the outrageous price and difficulty in finding conventional ammunition has created a need for something better. This ammunition has comparable function at a fraction of the cost.
